Paul’s training diary, week 24.
What is the deal ! Last 2 weeks training was 4 days on, 3 days off. Not by choice mind you, well, not really anyway. Of course its easy to come up with reasons not to run, kids need me, dog needs walking, cats getting sick, I’m tired, maybe I’m anemic, yadayadayada, but come on!
I need some great motivational tools guys. Anybody any failsafe ideas that work for them?

just think and then be concerned about how you’re going to look in your speedo this summer !

How about: I don’t want to have that icky feeling when I put my head on the pillow at night knowing I have failed to run. Like knowing that you’ve gone to bed without brushing your teeth. Also, I find that it is easier to do something every day than several times a week, so perhaps if you are not running, plugging in some other sort of exercise, even if it is just stretching, during the time you would be running on the off days.
